I had the pleasure of receiving help from Jennifer, Alison, Knut & Hans on Finance Transformation when my Finance Team was working remotely due to the pandemic. I really appreciated how Jennifer scaled the Loughridge Transformations‘ approach to meet our needs, demonstrating a highly flexible manner of bringing insights and expertise to our set-up. The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) is on a transformation journey to become an international NGO and needs the finance and operational systems and processes that can support this. I was concerned that we would jump to a new IT platform without thinking through the people and process changes required to facilitate improvement. After a competitive tender exercise, we selected Loughridge Transformations to deliver the continuous improvement and project management skills that I needed to define the problem and solution space, and develop a prioritised action plan for implementation. I would recommend Alison, Jennifer and the team for their expertise in applying Lean Six-Sigma methodology to optimise processes, propose IT platform solutions to current pain points, as well as considering wider change management implications including connections and team effectiveness.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with both Alison and Jennifer in a virtual class setting. A friend and I participated together in the Insights Discovery™ Program.  Using a virtual platform enabled all four of us to come together without problem from four different countries.  This was an especially unique time, as COVID-19 had barred most international travel. I’m eager to put my new insights into use, not only in a community setting but also in engaging with my older teenagers and upon resumption into the working world again.

I was pleased to have the opportunity to work with Jennifer and Alison on the Insights Discovery™ Personal Profile programme. The concept of ‘colour energies’ has enabled me to understand, at a deep level, my own personal preferences and resulting strengths and weaknesses. Just as importantly, this course shows you how to adapt your own behaviour to take into account the colour energies of those around you. As someone who has been an expatriate out of the workplace for over a decade, the course was both fun and practical. It would greatly benefit anyone considering a return to work or a career change; it has also helped me understand why some overseas placements have been easier to adjust to than others!

Alison is an engaging and sensitive facilitator, and we experienced no problems using virtual conferencing across two continents and four timezones. I highly recommend.

We worked together virtually on a global initiative in one of the energy majors – an immense change programme covering all parts of the globe. The project delivery model was with the expectation of excellent standards. All due diligence, design and implementation work has been conceived, managed and guided by virtual means by these team members, among others, linking a global vast task force to the common goal.

Virtual capabilities are part of this team’s DNA, enabling what they do best: define, design, implement and manage complex transformations locally and internationally.

A virtual team must have its own virtual space to recreate what we all take for granted in a physical office. When I worked with the team back in 2014, we experimented with a range of tools to help keep the team connected. There are many more specialist tools available now for virtual, but Jennifer’s is still the most cohesive virtual team I’ve worked in – they get the personal touches right that are fundamental to any team.

I worked with Jennifer for three years as a Senior Finance Continuous Improvement Specialist. Over the period, I was part of a team comprising about 30 members at its peak, sitting in the United States, Canada, several European countries (the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Germany), Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and India, with Jennifer as our Manager.

It never felt like a virtual team. The combination of Jennifer’s top-notch virtual management skills and our deployment of world-class collaboration tools ensured delivery was seamless regardless of the many borders, time zones and cultures between the team members. Jennifer coached the team into being a well-oiled delivery machine, oblivious of its otherwise limitations. Through her leadership and unhindered by the virtual working environment, Jennifer achieved outstanding success in meeting and surpassing the team’s goals. Her legacy kept the team thriving for years. I have no doubts whatsoever of her ability to succeed in operating virtually or face-to-face.

With this team, I learned how to do work virtually properly! I saw that by creating the right structures and then following through with the behaviours that virtual working can be not just impactful but a productive normal.  One of the big challenges is managing your own energy and team’s engagement – this is a skill set that we honed in this team.

I had a fantastic opportunity to work with Jennifer, Knut, and Hans for a year during 2015-2016. Unfortunately, I have never met them personally until now. However, weekly virtual connections with this team were so effective that I never felt I was missing personal interaction. This team has real experts who use technology to the max.

Jennifer is a staunch follower of structured ways of working. The ways of working during my stint in the team were very inspiring. I worked virtually with Jennifer for multiple years from Houston, TX.  While the ocean between us is vast, we never had any issues completing our deliverables.  We worked together on business transformation, organisational improvements, waste elimination and other types of efficiency improvements.
